I was really REALLY hoping I was wrong, but I wasn't
I fucked up my screen.
Stupid emulsion.
I think I know how I messed it up.
But its still frustrating.
Now I have to clean it, and it sounds like it is going to be annoying.
Or I can go and buy a new screen.
But that's annoying too.
So I bring my dog to a socialization/dog play group.
She loves it ok?
People bring kids to places to play with other kids, only I do it with my dog.
ok?
So a dog named Harold (cockapoo) decided to hump my left leg (a couple of times).
He must have an Asian Fetish.
Asians are pretty hot, if I don't say so myself.
But I am not attracted to Asians.
Does that make sense?
I have been wanting to get into screenprinting.
I'm afraid I'll fuck it up.
I probably will.
Maybe this weekend I'll fuck up a screen.
If you're lucky, I'll be able to put something up that I screenprinted on etsy soon.
Newport was fun. The wedding, I was awkward and uncomfortable.
I tuned out the ceremony.
The free food and beer was fun.
I didn't drink much. I never do.
Besides there was way too much food.
The best part, instead of cake, they had cupcakes! They were BANGIN'!
Honest.
They also had chocolate covered strawberries.
Once again, BANGIN'
Honest x2.
I took some newport pictures, but not a lot. I was just enjoying the beautiful weather.
Monday and Tuesday were my vacation days.
I did pump out a shirt or two.
I also took some more pictures.
Check it...
The past weekend there was a birthday party.
it was fun.
Here is me having fun
I think that's enough.
ta-ta
So I'm going away to Newport, RI this weekend for a wedding. I don't like weddings. I don't like to be in them, I don't like to go to them. They make me feel uncomfortable. But I am looking forward to getting away and checking out Newport. I'll also come home and have Monday and Tuesday off from work (hopefully focus on etsy a little?) How come? because I wanted to. I like the word seriously. Not the actual act (not that there’s anything wrong with being serious) but I really like the word. AAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDDDD.... my feature is offically out on "A World of Creativity Blog." http://aworldofcreativity.blogspot.com/ She makes me sound sooo cool and unique. I've never been cool and I don't really look unique (I dress and look plain) But its pretty cool, so believe the featured blog about me, not me. I'm cool. remember that. seriously.
so I really don't have the time for a photo of myself for SPT, so I decided to put an obligatory "mini me" photo. If it helps, it MIGHT have been a thursday when this photo was taken.
For an FYI, I was/am obsessed with vampires. I don't know why. And those teeth, my fav growing up. Unfortunately they got kind of gross, even though I was a good kid and washed them out every time I played with them. I also remember they hurt my teeth.
Oh well.
Also I don't put my hair in pig tails for two reasons.
1. I look young enough, I don't need pigtails to make me look younger.
B. I think pigtails make me look more Asian, if that makes sense to you.
Have you ever planned your day one way and it never headed in that direction?
Yeah, yesterday was that way for me.
Which is fine with me. I don't mind, having things go in a different direction is not always a bad thing. Change is good, right?
I was expecting a relaxing day as I would just slowly work on a birthday gift (shirt) that I would give to them this weekend (oh shit its Wednesday already?)
I did work on some of it, before I was brainwashed (cult-like) into working on things around the homestead.
1. polyurethane railings (x3)
2. prep and tape up the stairs and walls
3. paint the patches of wall where the old railings were
Now I love to paint. (not a mural or anything, just a fresh coat of paint on the wall)
Its fun. something about the smell and also when paint splatters on you (not my hair because that shit stays in there FOREVER... not really but it feels like that) that makes you feel accomplished. Especially on my hands. I don't know why, but it makes me feel almost important. Like I made a difference somehow, with paint. yeah... not sure about that one. So it was great, I didn't mind painting, up until I realized that the dog and cat were able to freely walk and/or run up and down the area where the walls were being painted.
Not so bad up until the long haired cat or the dog rubs up against the wall.
luckily it didn't happen (did you think it did? I bet you did!)
But my dog somehow got some paint on her head. I got it out, but I don't know how it got there.
Anyway, I decided to have before and after pictures of what the walls looked like as well as the backyard. The yard might be a bit before its ready, but once it does happen, I'll have pictures up.
I swear
pinky promise
Its slowly starting to get warm and I am loving it.
There is a lot to do as I am trying to revamp outside and the inside of my condo.
See, New Year 2008 started off with a bang. Literally. My friend lost his balance at the last 2 steps and grabbed onto the railing, like most normal people do hoping for some support. Well, he fell, along with the railing. He's ok, but the railing has seen better days, so new railings are going up all around.
(apparently the old railings were only held up with liquid nails and after 24 years, the liquid nails is not really nail-like anymore)
Woo hoo home projects!
Then I am digging out some things in the back yard (not very big since its a condo) and getting it ready for a brick patio area. I hope it will look like. It still needs a lot of work. Maybe I'll put up some pictures of it.
On top of all the little home improvements (need new windows) I made a shirt
woo hoo x2
The squares wrap around the back.
The excitement!
