So my new years resolution?
Changing my blog writing over to blogspot.
I got it done before the new year.
Woo!
check it out and follow me my minions.
I celebrate thanksgiving however I am a vegetarian, so the sides of sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, non-meat stuffing, veggies, etc were my meal (which were fantastic).
my non-turkey day was nice and black friday consisted of me getting things done for etsy. I refused to go out shopping on black friday with the threat of getting mowed down. I'm fragile.
Lets give a moment of silence to the employee at walmart who got squished by the mob of sale crazed people trying to get the best deals.
Seriously.
What the hell is wrong with people.
Anyway, so today is Cyber Monday.
However, I didn't have the time to organize my shop to have any special sales for today.
So I put up a new shirt instead.
Its suppose to be funny.
And not true.
Mythbusters busted this myth.
But I just like saying it.
That means there are no pretty girls, right?
Also, I found out my superman shirt appeared on another blog, and I didn't know.
But I was linked so it wasn't a big deal that I wasn't informed by the person who blogged.
My superman superbra got featured on a blog with a whole new twist.
The twist is not super man exposing his super bra.
Its actually how they featured it that I enjoy greatly.
Its really about Japan coming out with a line of bra's for men.
Actually their whole blog is terrific for all the geeks out there (I'm a geek and I have the glasses to prove it)
They mention how you can get the complete set of Buffy for $69.99 on Amazon which is 65% off the list price of $199.99.
I love Buffy.
You should too if you want to be my best friend.
Overall, its a great blog, you should go and check all of it out.

Every inch of it.
If you want to be my best friend.
And you DO want to be my best friend.
I promise my annoying behaviours will be very minimal.
I feel like I am all over the place with my selling items.
I felt a little weary about my shirt ideas so I have been tapping into other things, such as my pillows and now my little wooden guys.
I hope it doesn't make others looking into my shop feel all weird and loopy.
Or makes others think I'm still extremely amature-ish and don't want to bother with my stuff.
Which I mean, I am kind of amature. This whole etsy/tshirt making/pillow/keychain thing is still really new to me.
I think I still need to find my niche, my voice, my meaning to be, or something ....
I do have more ideas for shirts so there will be more shirts.
I have been thinking of taking some of my images and also putting them on tote bags as well.
So there will be more of my wandering ideas.
Sorry.
In other news, I was in a blog. Nothing special but looking at the other shirts in there, I feel extremely honored.
oh and another key chain.
So I'm going away to Newport, RI this weekend for a wedding. I don't like weddings. I don't like to be in them, I don't like to go to them. They make me feel uncomfortable. But I am looking forward to getting away and checking out Newport. I'll also come home and have Monday and Tuesday off from work (hopefully focus on etsy a little?) How come? because I wanted to. I like the word seriously. Not the actual act (not that there’s anything wrong with being serious) but I really like the word. AAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDDDD.... my feature is offically out on "A World of Creativity Blog." http://aworldofcreativity.blogspot.com/ She makes me sound sooo cool and unique. I've never been cool and I don't really look unique (I dress and look plain) But its pretty cool, so believe the featured blog about me, not me. I'm cool. remember that. seriously.
So yesterday I receive an email from my brother's wife.
For a background check:
- I'm Asian
- My brother's Asian
- His wife is of Indian decent, but she really doesn't involve herself in that culture too much and she's from Trinidad.
- Her son, of Indian and black decent.
- My family is ethnically diverse.
- Not the point.
They live in NYC and his wife and son decided to go to the playground. (side note, my nephew ROCKS!)
He walked away from the sandbox where he had his bucket and someone else went and played with it. Very innocent as the kids all play with each other things as long as no one else is playing with it. But if the owners of the toy want it back or are leaving, etc, then the kid has to fork it over. Very communal.
My nephew wanted to play with it again but was being shy. So the mother steps in, as they do, and politely asked the boy for the bucket back. A second after, the father starts to yell out to the son "give them their shit back!" and then tells the boy to go and "play alone."
So at this point, she is stunned and went to ask him if something happened before (friendly banter). Which apparently opened a flood gate (and I mean HUGE) of insults. He started to ask what part of India she was from, isn't there a caste system in India, and then started to state that she is "nothing" here and she is "nothing" there and to just go back to India. She tried to explain that she is actually from Trinidad, but he wouldn't let her. Basically, he went on about her being an immigrant and being "nothing."
She tried to point out that he was of Hispanic decent and therefore he could also be an immigrant, but she didn't want to start trouble.
Others at the park were worried that she would get attacked by this guy and crowded around her just in case.
What right does this man have to talk to her like that. Not only her but his own son!?
People like that make me scared for society. Is this what we are teaching our children?
Sorry, it really upset me when I read this. Not just for her sake, but really for society as a whole... Its depressing and frustrating.
grrrarg!
On a much much MUCH lighter note. I'll be featured on a world of creativity's blog (as I mentioned last time) on April 16th!
