I made this.
that's right, me.
All hand made (not the shirt. I bought that).
Stating "I AM NONtRENDY."
wear it and represent. or make a statement.
Buy it on my etsy shop, dudes and dudettes.
I'm listening to Nirvana's Nevermind.
I haven't listen to that album in ages.
I liked Nirvana before Cobain decided the fame was too much/murdered (whatever you believe)
(its ok, I don't like Courtney Love either but I don't know if I believe it was murder)
But don't think I don't like Nirvana now. I still do.
My favorite track on this is probably Lithium.
This brings back lots of memories.
I can hear the crackling of the vinyl which makes it soo much better in my opinion.
I love listening to music on vinyl.
Anyway, someone from my job had a vinyl copy of the album (sound quality is much better than the CD version)
So I told him how much I love Nirvana and he said, oh I'll burn you a copy of the vinyl onto CD.
That man rocks!!!!!!
He's a very cool guy. Knows A LOT about music.
He has met lots of musicians from the Amherst, Northampton area such as Thurston Moore and Jay Mascis
I love the music scene up there in Mass. I think I need to move SOON!
Wait, why was I here? Oh yeah Self Portrait Thursday.
I also have a new shirt I'll be putting up on etsy soon.
Newport was fun. The wedding, I was awkward and uncomfortable.
I tuned out the ceremony.
The free food and beer was fun.
I didn't drink much. I never do.
Besides there was way too much food.
The best part, instead of cake, they had cupcakes! They were BANGIN'!
Honest.
They also had chocolate covered strawberries.
Once again, BANGIN'
Honest x2.
I took some newport pictures, but not a lot. I was just enjoying the beautiful weather.
Monday and Tuesday were my vacation days.
I did pump out a shirt or two.
I also took some more pictures.
Check it...
The past weekend there was a birthday party.
it was fun.
Here is me having fun
I think that's enough.
ta-ta
Its slowly starting to get warm and I am loving it.
There is a lot to do as I am trying to revamp outside and the inside of my condo.
See, New Year 2008 started off with a bang. Literally. My friend lost his balance at the last 2 steps and grabbed onto the railing, like most normal people do hoping for some support. Well, he fell, along with the railing. He's ok, but the railing has seen better days, so new railings are going up all around.
(apparently the old railings were only held up with liquid nails and after 24 years, the liquid nails is not really nail-like anymore)
Woo hoo home projects!
Then I am digging out some things in the back yard (not very big since its a condo) and getting it ready for a brick patio area. I hope it will look like. It still needs a lot of work. Maybe I'll put up some pictures of it.
On top of all the little home improvements (need new windows) I made a shirt
woo hoo x2
The squares wrap around the back.
The excitement!
so I might not have been featured but someone put a etsy mini up with one of my shirts on their blog.
http://www.mskittyfantasticorules.blogspot.com/.
I feel fucking special. I do.
Someone else contacted me over the weekend to have me featured on their blog as well.
Its a new blog and I'll be one of the firsts (not the very first).
I'll post again once I am up on the blog.
In the mean time, here is a new shirt.
Actually its not quite new, I've had it done for a little while now, but I haven't put it up yet for some reason.
I've been thinking of new ideas for shirts, but by the time I draw them out, I hate them.
I haven't been able to find my voice when it comes to making things.
... or doing anything, really....
Granted, I have been only making shirts for less than a year now.
Granted, I am a glass half empty kind of person.
Granted, I don't think highly of myself.
I am extremely frustrated.
To the point I want to break something. I hate to sound voilent, but sometimes that's how I feel.
I'm not perfect.
Here is at least a custom shirt that I finished making for someone, which consumed most of my time for the past couple of days. that and my full time job.
barf (about the full-time job, not the shirt).
On a side note, I had a goal to save up a certain lump sum of money for Seattle. I hit the goal earlier than I thought.
Joy!
So I created a new shirt that I will have up on Etsy very shortly.
I'm not entirely sure what exactly to call it. Hunter Rising or Hunter S. Christ.
I love Hunter Thompson.
Maybe some of his debauchery was a little too much, but it was delightfully entertaining to read about.
See, my workspace also works as my dinning room table. Actually it is my dinning table. So I have to keep at least the other half of the table clean and without my stuff cluttering it up so I can eat on it. I guess some people can say that I don't necessarily HAVE to use my table to eat on, but I like to.
Anyway, I should post my new shirt on etsy.
Signing off....
